Armidi hates your wings.

So I decided to go to Armidi one day because I wanted to buy some new stuff they released. I was wearing the Facelight 3000 which is not really huge and it is quite funny.

I didn't think it would be a problem for anyone until...

[18:12] Armidi Representative*: Hello please remove your attachment, or I will be forced to remove you from the sim - thank you.
[18:12] Lyanis Sin: what if i had wings?
[18:13] Armidi Representative*: This is not up for discussion.
[18:13] Lyanis Sin: well i am shopping, if you don't like it. boot me

// Got kicked from Armidi
[18:14] Lyanis Sin: thats what i thought. thanks. i won't buy anything from armidi again :) have a nice day

There were 3 armidis working on top of a building and they didn't have a sense of humor. Well done Armidi :)

Haha, that is absoloutly bad customer service! At least at my store, AlleyCat Studios, we encourage humor. I'd have understood if it were generating particles or something!

Armidi is too stuck up for its own good. I admit they do excellent work, but the way they treat people is absolutely ridiculous. I'd much rather shop somewhere where they don't treat you like crap because you might want to have a little fun while shopping that harms no one.

Agrees about the best facelight EVAH! lol This is soooooo stupid, some people seems to have a solar system as facelight, that is just humour.
Just can say something, we don't need them, there is a lot of GREAT designers, not only them... but they NEED us, the costumers.
After reading that they lose a costumer... more.

this gives facelight blinding a new name, loveeeee it! How sad for Armidi not to have a laugh over it as it's only tongue in cheek - tho most of their customers are major facelight hogs. Too bad, so sad.

Geez... my whole business is built around humor and mayhem. The more bizarre the better, as long as it's not disturbing other people shopping. Par for the course is walking through a pile of exploding barrels. :D

haha

well i think facelight 3000 is cute. but ive seen places where people DO grief with it. the sandboxes are a big ball of fun <3

i guess what do you expect, you did refuse to remove it - i am sure they recieve many griefers, in their eyes you were probably just another - it happens.

i think armidi has humour, ive seen it in some of their stuff, maybe its more dry.

p.s. wehat does this have to do with wings? i wear my furry winged creatcha there all the time :DDDDD

I love turning on transparencies and asking people why they need 49843675908236409856 facelights. If I can have one and look fine, so can you.

I really don't see what the problem was.

You were asked nicely -- firmly, but politely -- to please remove the attachment, with full disclosure about what could happen if you didn't.

Your response was tantamount to a, 'go ahead, let's see you do it'.

It leaves a bad taste in my mouth that this little molehill of an incident was enough to convince people that Armidi = bad evil corporate monster with no 'sense of humor'.

Rhetorical question: how come none of the comments on here thus far have bothered to point out that you were being a rude guest on their sim?

Lyanis Sin said...

melanieann, because Armidi was doing it in so called "customer complains" and there were none.

*shugs*

it's hideous, I don't blame them for banning people. It is excessive and Armidi lags as it is.

light and particle rendering is done locally (your pc), the facelight itself is low prim, so hm, if people lag at armidi due to low fps the facelight 3000 isnt the problem.

wearing one also doesn't lag the sim (its low prim!), so technically, there's no reason. armidi should ask visitors to remove their hair if they want to reduce lag (my hair has >1000 avatar rendering cost e.g.).
