[2008/08/18 14:57] Armidi Representative #2: I'm sorry that you were ejected, however there has been an excessive amount of "Facelight 3000" wearers over the past three days and it's getting to the point where we see it as griefing, especially when one refuses to remove it. While it may be funny and self-expressive to a certain extent, due to the repeated offenses it's gotten quite old. The stores are extremely small as it is, and we get quite a few complaints about that. I hope you understand :]
After a long conversation with this person they decided to unban everyone that has been banned by wearing the Facelight 3000 and if someone hasn't yet been unbanned they can easily contact one of the Armidi team and they will take off your ban.
Also they have seen what they did wrong and they are promising to have better customer service in the future. (I hope)
Last few minutes of the conversation:
[15:48] Armidi Representative #2: We don't want to ban anyone who didn't mean any harm :]
[15:48] Lyanis Sin: well thats good. because many of those are good customers of yours
[15:49] Lyanis Sin: did you see my flickr photo? we are wearing armidi clothing :)
[15:49] Lyanis Sin: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lyanis/2773761754/
[15:57] Armidi Representative #2: now that looks like you're just taking the mickey out of us ^_^ do you genuinely want back in Armidi?
[15:58] Lyanis Sin: well, the question is. Do you want our money? Because as far as I know, no business make money without their clients. If you continue banning them you will lose sales
[16:01] Armidi Representative #2: Regardless if you or them every want to buy something from Armidi again (I mean that's your choice) - I'd rather just make sure things are cleared up
[16:03] Lyanis Sin: just start managing things better rather than blind bans. It is hard task but people will see your actions and the relationship customer-merchant will grow
[16:03] Armidi Representative #2: I don't want someone to remain banned if they didn't deserve it.
[16:03] Armidi Representative #2: Right, well it's something we are working on
[16:04] Armidi Representative #2: Hopefully we will end up getting it right :p
Now one last pic of the incident:
Thanks Delora Starbrook for the pic :)

whoaaa how about a sense of humour? The facelight doesn't have particles, spam a sim, have a loud noise... etc!
ya know, if everyone wore Armidi purses & didn't take them off, is that griefing? puhleeze!
Armidi are a TYPICAL corporation, ie. they treat all customers the same, not as individuals. That is corporate rule for you.. :D
Well its good that they now allow the Facelight 3000.
If you know Lyanis, she doesn't wear stuff to grief but to make people laugh. She was probably wearing it to show to friends, and then didn't bother removing it just to go shopping - who bothers to change to go shopping??
I just want to say that anything that doesn't cause lag is welcome at my store. So is the Facelight 3000! Also welcome furries, nekos, and wings!
props to them!
well it sounds like they got a lot of people wearing this thing, maybe there is a history of griefing...
it doesnt sound like anybody from armidi actually knows Lyanis, so even if she was wearing it to be funny - she refused to remove it, usually larger companies have to be more strict simply because they face these things everyday. like someone said, they are still really new, thy'll get it right.
i will say theyve been nice to me, but i also made the effort to be nice to them. some of the designers are really personal, everybody has bad days.
oh and Lyanis, you did look mighty cute in the Facelight :DDDDDD
Nice conversation! I agree with you that you don't want to ban anyone who didn't mean any harm and don't want someone to remain banned if they didn't deserve it. That's a customer service. Thanks for the post.
